We back this with industry specific accelerator packages for Mining, CPG, and Professional Services, drawing on 20+ years of sector experience. Over that time, we've built a reputation not just for delivering transformation projects but for steadying them. Brought in when a project needs a safe pair of hands to see it through to a successful outcome. It's why so many customers trust us with their most critical digital transformation and SAP work. We measure our success by our customers', helping them get the most out of their SAP investment, not just at go-live but for years afterwards. Our Application Management Services and ongoing consultancy keep that relationship going, with continuous improvement built in as standard. We're big enough to lead complex, global transformation projects and boutique enough to still care about every client we work with.

SAP ECC Business Intelligence FAQ

Does SAP ECC include built-in reporting and analytics?

ECC includes native reporting tools — the Information System for materials management, SD reporting, and Controlling reports — but is rated moderate for business intelligence because these are largely list-based, transaction-level reports rather than the modern self-service analytics found in newer platforms.

Do SAP ECC customers need a separate BI tool?

Most do. SAP BW (Business Warehouse) is the traditional companion product for building data warehouses and dashboards on top of ECC data, and many organizations also feed ECC data into third-party BI tools for company-wide reporting beyond what ECC's native transaction reports provide.

Does SAP ECC support self-service analytics for business users?

Only in a limited way — a handful of self-service analytics capabilities exist within Controlling and reporting tools, but ECC predates the embedded, in-memory analytics that S/4HANA offers through Fiori apps and CDS views, which is a major driver for BI-focused migration decisions.

Can SAP ECC data feed into modern dashboarding tools?

Yes, typically through SAP BW extraction or direct database/API connections that pull ECC tables into tools like SAP Analytics Cloud or third-party BI platforms, since ECC itself isn't designed to be the primary analytics layer for a modern reporting stack.

Why is business intelligence often cited as a reason to move off ECC?

Because S/4HANA's in-memory database and embedded analytics let users run real-time reports directly against live transactional data instead of extracting to a separate warehouse first — a meaningful jump in reporting speed and flexibility that ECC's architecture doesn't support natively.
