Odoo localizations by country

A company can find an Odoo-maintained fiscal localization package for the large majority of the markets tracked here — a chart of accounts, activated taxes and country-specific statements come pre-built once the company's country is set. Coverage depth varies sharply beyond that baseline: a set of roughly forty markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and most of Latin America and the Gulf, get a full country guide covering statutory reports, e-invoicing and banking file formats, while about twenty other markets only have the underlying module confirmed with no equivalent walkthrough. E-invoicing itself splits three ways: a built-in Peppol access point covers most of Europe plus Türkiye, several markets route through a named certified partner a buyer contracts and configures separately (Avalara in Brazil, Nilvera in Türkiye, mojeračun in Croatia), and Singapore's InvoiceNow support comes from a separately published third-party app rather than Odoo's own material. Payroll is the narrowest dimension by far: an Odoo-delivered payroll localization exists for only about a dozen countries, and the Payroll app itself sits on the Enterprise edition rather than the Community edition.

Country-by-country coverage

Every country Odoo documents, and what is actually covered in each — statutory reporting, e-invoicing, tax determination and payroll are four separate questions and a product can be strong on one and absent on another.

Odoo localization FAQ

Does Odoo support electronic invoicing across the European Union?

Yes for most member states. Odoo operates its own Peppol access point and lists a specific set of eligible countries — covering the large majority of the EU plus the UK, Switzerland and Türkiye — where a company can register for Peppol e-invoicing without a separate third-party contract. A handful of markets layer a country-specific mandate on top of that generic Peppol capability, such as XRechnung in Germany, SdI in Italy, KSeF in Poland or SII/Veri*Factu in Spain.

Is Odoo's payroll localized for my country?

Only for a short list of markets. An Odoo-delivered payroll localization currently covers around a dozen countries, including the United States, Belgium, Mexico, India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Kenya, Türkiye, Hong Kong and Australia. Outside that list, payroll isn't documented as a native capability, and the Payroll app itself only ships on the Enterprise edition rather than the Community edition.

Does every Odoo country module get the same level of support from Odoo itself?

No. Roughly forty of the countries tracked here have a full, dedicated country guide covering statutory reports, e-invoicing and banking formats. A further set of countries ship a working fiscal localization module in Odoo's own core product but have no equivalent walkthrough, so a buyer in one of those markets should confirm specifics with a partner or a trial database rather than assume parity with the well-documented markets.

If my country's e-invoicing mandate isn't handled natively by Odoo, what are my options?

Several markets route e-invoicing through a named certified partner that a buyer contracts and configures alongside Odoo rather than a channel Odoo operates itself — Avalara for Brazil, Nilvera for Türkiye, and mojeračun for Croatia are documented examples. Singapore's InvoiceNow support goes a step further and comes from a separately published third-party app rather than material Odoo documents as its own, so it's worth confirming directly with that publisher before relying on it.

Can I get full tax compliance for a country on Odoo's Community edition, or do I need Enterprise?

It depends on the feature, not just the country. Payroll is confirmed as an Enterprise-only app, and Odoo's own edition comparison lists several German statutory reports (balance sheet, profit and loss, the VAT return, EC sales list and Intrastat) as Enterprise-only as well. Core fiscal-localization setup — chart of accounts, tax activation and basic statements — is documented at the module level without an edition restriction, so a buyer should check the specific report or feature they need rather than assume one edition covers everything.
