Microsoft Dynamics 365 HR & Payroll FAQ
Does Microsoft Dynamics 365 have payroll?
Dynamics 365 doesn't include native payroll processing in most regions — Human Resources, the HR app, handles core HR data, benefits, and leave, but payroll calculation typically requires a certified third-party payroll partner integration, such as with a local payroll provider. Business Central similarly lacks built-in payroll and relies on ISV add-ons.
Does Dynamics 365 Business Central have built-in payroll?
No — Business Central doesn't include native payroll processing. Companies run payroll through certified ISV add-ons or by integrating a dedicated payroll provider, such as ADP or a local payroll bureau, with the resulting journal entries posting back into Business Central's general ledger.
