Workday Implementation Partners

A Workday implementation partner — Workday calls this a Services Partner — is certified to deliver the deployment itself: tenant configuration, integration development, data migration from legacy systems, testing, change management, and go-live support. This is different from an Advisory Partner, which focuses on readiness and selection before you commit to a build.

A focused single-module deployment can take as little as a few months. A multi-module, multi-country HCM and Financial Management programme for a large enterprise commonly runs 9 to 18 months or longer, depending on integration count, data complexity, and organisational scale.

Workday certification is issued to individuals, not firms, so a partner's total headcount tells you little about your project. Ask directly how many certified consultants would be staffed on your specific engagement, at what seniority, and whether any of them have delivered a comparable go-live in your industry.

Ask them to count, name, and price every integration up front — connections to payroll providers, banks, benefits carriers, and existing ERP are the single biggest source of scope creep and cost overrun on Workday projects. A vague integration estimate is a red flag.
