Solution: Miami University selected Workday as a single system of record and engaged Avaap, chosen for its higher education and Ohio institution experience, to lead the HCM, finance and payroll implementation alongside the people side of the change.

Results: Automated document generation and standardised job profiles reduced administrative effort, OPERS enrolment processing was automated, and automating HSA contributions, benefit premium calculations and wellness administration saved over 1.15 FTE annually combined. Absence handling now converts sick hours to PTO for roughly 1,000 workers, and finance gained OCR invoice processing, project tracking and automated expense management. Solution: Avaap helped CMU adopt standard Workday functionality across HR, payroll and financial operations rather than custom configuration, and trained functional teams to own configuration and reporting so the university depended less on IT.

Results: Employees have self-service for core HR processes for the first time, replacing paper forms. The university reports more consistent data and better visibility, and plans further Workday projects covering financial and workforce planning.
