Solution: Guidehouse implemented the full Workday suite covering HCM, Finance and Payroll, combining Workday implementation practices with its own Base Camp methodology of process discovery, readiness workshops and internal change champions. Tailored elements included a custom reporting structure, a mobile inventory monitoring system and Workday punchouts for procurement.

Results: The city reports greater central finance capacity through a streamlined accounts payable function and departmental spend entry, real-time bank statement reconciliation, centralised grants data, and the elimination of shadow systems. It met 1,436 unique requirements, created 501 custom reports, recorded 100% adoption, migrated over 1,800 historical employment records and moved performance reviews to Workday a year earlier than planned.

Solution: Guidehouse deployed Workday Adaptive Planning alongside the county's existing ERP using its GH+ Workday methodology, running a steering committee across planning, architecture and configuration, and testing. Scope covered system configuration, data migration, user training, change management, end-to-end functionality testing and a production dress rehearsal.

Results: Departments now use dashboards showing prior-year budget, actuals and the current-year request with total budget amounts in real time. The central budget team reviews requests with version control at each planning stage and can summarise the county budget immediately, and real-time reporting has replaced earlier manual reporting processes.

Solution: Guidehouse configured Workday Help, covering Knowledge Management for self-service help articles and Case Management for creating, tracking and resolving cases. It set up case suggestions that surface help articles, Workday Learning content, tasks and reports during case creation, plus routing rules to direct cases to the right service team member and custom dashboards for metrics.

Results: Support moved into the same application employees already use for HCM, Payroll and Financials, adding self-service to user outreach and support. Case suggestions reduce case creation by surfacing curated content first, and dashboard reporting lets the county identify departments needing additional training and run open office sessions.

Solution: Guidehouse ran a phased Workday Financial Management implementation using public sector templates and scripts adapted to the county, structured in five stages: Base Camp discovery and change champions, planning and governance, architecture and configuration, successive testing against day-to-day requirements, and deployment with data conversion and end-user training.

Results: With Phase 1 of Workday Financial Management complete, processes and practices are documented and departments have improved access to grants, project and financial data for reporting and analytics. Consolidated data in Workday gives the county greater cross-department visibility to support decision-making.
