Benefits administration built into Namely's all-in-one mid-market HR and payroll platform.
Updated August 2026 · By the ERP Research Editorial Team · Independent and vendor-neutral.
Namely is a human capital management (HCM) platform aimed at mid-sized companies, combining HR, payroll, time management and benefits administration in a single system. Its benefits administration module lets employers build and manage benefit plans, eligibility rules and contribution settings, then runs employees through a guided enrollment wizard with side-by-side plan comparisons so they can choose coverage without paper forms.
Once an employee enrolls or makes a change, Namely transmits the update to the relevant insurance carrier through electronic carrier connections and automatically flows the resulting deduction into Namely Payroll for processing, removing the manual re-keying that otherwise happens between a benefits system and payroll. The platform also includes ACA reporting and compliance tracking, a real-time open enrollment dashboard for administrators, and mobile/self-service access so employees can view plan details, dependents and costs at any time.
For employers that want outside help running the process, Namely also offers a Managed Benefits service pairing the software with broker and consulting support for plan selection, renewals and open enrollment.

It bundles core HR with payroll, benefits administration and talent in one platform aimed at US mid-market employers, and the benefits-administration element is what usually decides the comparison — companies that want their broker relationship handled inside the HRIS value it differently from those buying HR alone.
