TimeClock Plus

TimeClock Plus is a time and attendance product from TCP Software (legal name TimeClock Plus, LLC), originally founded in San Angelo, Texas in 1988 as a standalone time and attendance company. It is aimed at organizations with hourly, shift-based, or frontline workforces that need to handle complex pay rules, multi-location operations, and compliance requirements rather than simple punch-clock tracking. TCP now operates as a multi-product workforce management company; TimeClock Plus is its original and largest time-and-attendance line, sitting alongside sibling scheduling products Humanity Schedule, Aladtec, and Humanity Time.

The product centers on automated timekeeping: it applies configurable pay rules (multiple pay rates, overtime, comp time, extra duty hours) and compliance rules (union agreements, CBAs, state and federal labor law, meal/rest break rules) directly to captured punch data, flags exceptions such as missed punches and long shifts, and rolls the result into payroll-ready reports. A leave and accrual module tracks PTO, sick time, FMLA, and holiday time with real-time balance visibility for managers approving requests. A separate K-12-specific module, resource management, adds substitute search and assignment, extra-duty tracking, and absence management aimed at school districts. TimeClock Plus pairs with TCP's own line of time clock hardware (badge, biometric, mobile, and web clocks) sold under the TCP Direct brand, which includes Oracle-certified and Workday-certified punch-data integrations.

TCP Software is headquartered in Plano, Texas and has been majority-owned by Providence Equity Partners since September 2019. The company reports serving over 37,000 customer organizations across its product line, spanning K-12 and higher education, government, public safety, healthcare, retail, hospitality, business services, manufacturing, and construction.
