Overview
Unanet is a project-based ERP and CRM platform built for government contractors (GovCon) and architecture, engineering and construction (AE/AEC) firms. The company ships separate purpose-built editions -- ERP for GovCon and ERP for AE -- alongside CRM for Government Contracting and CRM for AEC (the latter built on the former Cosential platform), plus AI layers (Champ, ProposalAI) and a market-intelligence product (GovIntel). Unanet reports serving more than 4,200 project-based organizations.
The ERP line combines project management, project-based financials (GL, job costing, revenue recognition and WIP), time and expense capture, resource forecasting, and contract/subcontractor management in one system. The GovCon edition adds compliance tooling specific to federal contracting: DCAA-compliant timekeeping and incurred cost reporting, and a FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency cloud environment for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The CRM line adds capture/pipeline management, proposal and resume generation, and (for AEC firms) relationship intelligence synced with Outlook.
Unanet connects to adjacent systems through Unanet Connect, a marketplace of 100+ pre-built connectors covering payroll (ADP, Paylocity, UKG), HRIS (Workday, Greenhouse), and CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot); the AEC CRM edition separately documents integrations with Viewpoint, Procore, Sage 100, Sage 300 and Trimble Construction. The company is privately held, headquartered in Dulles, Virginia, with JMI Equity as primary investor and a December 2022 strategic growth investment from Onex.
