Overview
Qlik Talend Cloud is a cloud-based data integration, quality and governance platform, formed from Qlik's 2023 acquisition of Talend and rebranded from Talend Cloud. It is aimed at data engineering and IT teams that need to move data out of operational systems, including ERPs, into warehouses, lakes and lakehouses to feed analytics, reporting and AI/ML initiatives.
The platform covers data movement and ingestion, change data capture (CDC) for real-time replication, pipeline-based transformation (ETL/ELT), application and API integration, and data warehouse/lakehouse automation. A separate but integrated layer, built on the former Talend Data Fabric, adds data quality, cataloging and lineage so extracted data can be trusted before it reaches BI or AI tools. Qlik markets several hundred prebuilt connectors, including a dedicated connector package for SAP (R/3, S/4HANA, BW, BW/4HANA and native HANA structures such as CDS views), and native connectivity to cloud warehouses including Snowflake, Databricks and the major hyperscalers.
Qlik Talend Cloud is sold as SaaS, replacing the legacy on-premises Talend Studio/Talend Cloud Data Management Platform for most new deployments, though Talend Studio remains available for design-time work that publishes to the cloud service. It sits alongside Qlik's separate analytics product, Qlik Sense (Qlik Cloud Analytics), which consumes the data this platform prepares.

Strengths & considerations
Strengths
- SAP-certified connector package covering both classic ECC/R3 and S/4HANA plus native BW/HANA structures
- Combines data movement (formerly Talend) with data quality, cataloging and lineage in one platform rather than a pure-play ETL tool
- Shares a vendor and data layer with Qlik Sense, so extracted/governed data can feed directly into Qlik's own BI layer
- Recognized as a Leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools

Alternatives to Qlik Talend Cloud in ETL & Data Extraction
Qlik Talend Cloud — frequently asked questions
What is Qlik Talend Cloud?
It is Qlik's cloud data integration, quality and governance platform, built from the former Talend Cloud after Qlik acquired Talend in 2023. It handles data movement, transformation, cataloging and lineage, typically feeding data into warehouses, lakes or BI tools such as Qlik Sense.
Does Qlik Talend Cloud connect to SAP?
Yes. Qlik provides an SAP-certified connector package covering SAP R/3, S/4HANA, BW and BW/4HANA, including native HANA data structures such as CDS views and aDSO objects.
Does it support NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics?
Yes, via Talend Cloud Apps connectors for NetSuite and Dynamics 365. Qlik has noted the NetSuite connector was undergoing a rebuild onto newer connector technology as of early 2026, so current availability should be checked against Qlik's release notes.
How is Qlik Talend Cloud priced?
Qlik does not publish specific prices; the pricing page routes buyers to a sales quote. A free trial is available, and a lower-cost 'Starter' subscription tier exists but excludes some connectors, such as the native Oracle source connector.
Is Qlik Talend Cloud the same product as Talend Open Studio?
No. Talend Open Studio was Talend's free/open-source design tool; Qlik Talend Cloud is the commercial SaaS platform that succeeded Talend Cloud Data Management Platform. Talend Studio still exists as a design-time client that can publish jobs to the cloud service.
