Fivetran is a cloud-based, fully managed ELT (extract-load-transform) platform that automates the movement of data from source systems into a data warehouse or data lake. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Oakland, California, it positions itself as infrastructure for automated data movement rather than a hand-built pipeline tool: connectors are pre-built, schemas are auto-detected and kept in sync as source schemas change, and syncs run on a managed schedule with no code to maintain.
