Overview
Usercentrics is a consent management platform (CMP) that automates privacy notices, cookie banners and opt-out handling for websites, mobile apps and connected-TV (CTV) applications. Founded in Munich in 2017, the company grew through a 2021 merger with Cybot, the parent company of Cookiebot, and reports coverage of more than 2.4 million websites and apps and roughly 8.8 billion monthly consent events.
The product line is split by surface: Web CMP for websites, App CMP for mobile apps and games, and CTV CMP for streaming and connected-TV applications, plus a standalone Privacy Policy Generator and server-side tools (Server GTM, Meta Signals Gateway). All are built around Google-certified Consent Mode v2 support and IAB TCF v2.2, and the Web CMP integrates directly with more than a dozen CMS and ecommerce platforms including WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Magento and WooCommerce.
In January 2026 Usercentrics acquired MCP Manager, extending the platform into governing what data AI agents and models can access via the Model Context Protocol, alongside its existing consent and preference management business.
