Overview
BigID is a data security and privacy platform that discovers and classifies sensitive, regulated and shadow data across cloud, SaaS, on-premises, hybrid and AI systems, then uses that underlying data intelligence to power privacy compliance, security posture management and AI governance workflows. Its Privacy Suite automates the operational side of data-privacy programs: data subject access request (DSAR) fulfillment, cookie and preference consent management, Records of Processing Activity (RoPA), and Privacy/Data Protection Impact Assessments.
The DSAR workflow automates request intake, identity verification, data discovery, redaction, review, fulfillment, deletion and audit-evidence generation. Consent management covers cookie consent, location-aware banners, consent records and backend enforcement, connecting captured preferences to how data is actually used downstream rather than stopping at the banner. RoPA and impact-assessment workflows are enriched with real discovered data, processing context, ownership and lineage rather than relying on manual questionnaires alone.
