Overview
Oracle Primavera is a family of project and portfolio management products built for construction, engineering, and other capital-project-intensive industries. It includes Primavera P6 (available as P6 Professional, a desktop/client-server application, and P6 EPPM, a browser-based enterprise edition) and Primavera Cloud, a newer SaaS solution that combines planning, scheduling, resource management and risk management in a single cloud environment.
The products are used to plan and schedule complex, multi-year capital programs using critical path method (CPM) scheduling, manage resources and costs across portfolios of projects, and track progress against baselines. Primavera Cloud adds portfolio and capital planning, field task management, and a risk register with Monte Carlo simulation for quantitative risk analysis, capabilities not present in P6.
Primavera is designed to work alongside a company's core ERP rather than replace it: Oracle positions P6 EPPM and Primavera Cloud as extending and synchronizing with financial and business-operations systems such as Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle E-Business Suite, SAP, and other ERPs, so schedule, cost, and resource data from the field flows into corporate financial systems.

- Available in multiple editions (P6 Professional desktop, P6 EPPM browser-based, Primavera Cloud SaaS) to fit different deployment preferences
ERP integrations
Third-party SAP-Endorsed App by Rizing LLC on the SAP Store, syncing SAP Project System and Plant Maintenance with Primavera; not an Oracle-built connector. Oracle also separately documents API/middleware integration paths to SAP.
Oracle documents native synchronization between Primavera and Oracle Cloud ERP / E-Business Suite for financial and cost data; a dedicated integration-guide URL was not independently located this session.
