Overview
Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is Autodesk's unified construction management platform, combining products such as Autodesk Build, Autodesk Docs, Autodesk Takeoff, BIM Collaborate, and BuildingConnected to connect design, preconstruction, and field/office teams on a single common data environment. It targets general contractors, specialty contractors, designers, and owners across commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and institutional projects.
A core part of ACC's value proposition for construction back-office teams is connecting field and project data to accounting/ERP systems, primarily through Autodesk Build's Cost Management module and the ACC Connect integration platform (built on Workato). ACC Connect provides no-code, ready-to-use integrations to accounting and financial applications, syncing budgets, cost items, pay applications, invoices, and change orders between Autodesk Build and the back office to reduce duplicate data entry.
Beyond the native ACC Connect integrations, Autodesk maintains an AECO Technology Partner ecosystem of certified partners (including Agave, hh2 Cloud Services, and Morpheus Technology Group) that extend connectivity to ERP systems ACC Connect doesn't natively cover, such as Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista and Spectrum, JD Edwards, CMiC, and SAP.

Common use cases
- Syncing Autodesk Build budgets, cost items, and pay applications with Sage Intacct or QuickBooks Online to eliminate duplicate entry between field and accounting
- Connecting Autodesk Build Cost Management to Sage 300 CRE or Viewpoint Vista/Spectrum via certified partner middleware (hh2, Morpheus Technology Group)
- Managing RFIs, submittals, and daily field reports on a single common data environment shared by office and field teams
- Running 2D/3D takeoff and estimating during preconstruction before handing budgets to the accounting team
- Coordinating design models and drawings across architects, engineers, and contractors via Autodesk Docs and Model Coordination
- Tracking subcontractor bids and prequalification through BuildingConnected ahead of contract award
- Feeding timekeeping, procurement, and cost data from field operations into ERP systems for real-time job costing
Strengths & considerations
Strengths
- Single common data environment spanning design (BIM), preconstruction, and field/project management, not just a standalone field tool
- ACC Connect (Workato-based) offers no-code integration recipes to accounting systems rather than requiring custom development
- Backed by a large AECO Technology Partner ecosystem, extending ERP connectivity beyond native connectors to systems like Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, JD Edwards, CMiC, and SAP
- Part of the broader Autodesk AEC portfolio, so it shares data with design tools like Revit and Navisworks used upstream of construction
