CMiC

CMiC is a construction-specific enterprise resource planning platform that unifies financial management, project management and project controls on a single database, rather than stitching together separate accounting and field-management systems. It is built for general contractors, specialty subcontractors, and heavy/civil and highway firms managing complex, multi-project portfolios.

The platform is organised around Financials (accounting, job costing, payroll/HCM, opportunity management, equipment and inventory), Project Management (bidding and procurement, document and drawing management, change orders, subcontractor management), and Project Controls (budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting). CMiC layers Workflow automation, Analytics, and NEXUS -- a set of AI agents embedded across financial and project modules for tasks like document extraction and reconciliation -- on top of this common data model.

CMiC reports handling more than $100 billion in construction revenue annually, serving over 400 cloud customers including roughly one-quarter of ENR's Top 400 Contractors. It is delivered as a fully managed, multi-tenant SaaS product hosted on AWS and accessed through a standard web browser, with an offline-capable field app (CONSTRUCT) for low-connectivity job sites. Because CMiC is itself a general-ledger/accounting system, its ERP-facing integrations are mostly about connecting to adjacent payroll, HR and specialty finance systems (e.g., Workday, ADP) and to a marketplace of 50+ partner-built field, procurement and payment tools, rather than sitting as an add-on inside another ERP.
