Online and in-person payments platform with billing, tax, fraud tools, and ERP connectors.

NetSuite
SAP S/4HANAStripe is a financial infrastructure platform that lets businesses accept online and in-person card payments, and layer on adjacent financial products such as subscription billing, invoicing, tax calculation and filing, fraud detection, and marketplace payouts. It is used by businesses ranging from individual developers to large enterprises; Stripe reports that roughly 50% of Fortune 100 companies have used its products and that it processed US$1.9 trillion in payment volume in 2025 across more than 135 currencies and payment methods.
The core product accepts payments through prebuilt UI components (Elements, Checkout, Payment Links) or a low-level API, and can be extended with Stripe Billing for recurring revenue and usage-based pricing, Stripe Tax for automated sales tax/VAT/GST calculation and filing, Stripe Radar for AI-based fraud scoring, Stripe Terminal for in-person card readers, and Stripe Connect for platforms and marketplaces that split payments across multiple parties. Stripe Sigma and a Data Pipeline product expose transaction data for SQL reporting and warehouse sync (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, BigQuery).
For ERP buyers, Stripe documents two vendor-built integrations: the Stripe Connector for NetSuite, which automates cash reconciliation and records invoices, payments, refunds and payouts in NetSuite, and the certified Stripe Adapter for the SAP Digital Payments Add-on (DPA), which adds Stripe payment processing to SAP S/4HANA Private or Public Cloud with automatic bank reconciliation. Stripe is privately held, founded in 2010 by Patrick and John Collison, and headquartered in South San Francisco, California, with a second headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
