Bloomerang is a donor management and fundraising platform built specifically for nonprofit organizations. Marketed as a unified "Giving Platform," it combines three previously separate products - Bloomerang CRM, Bloomerang Fundraising, and Bloomerang Volunteer - into a single system for donor relationship management, online giving, event and campaign fundraising, and volunteer coordination. The company was founded in 2012 and has grown through acquisitions of Kindful (2021), InitLive (2023) and Qgiv (2024), which were folded into the current platform.
The CRM component centers on 360-degree constituent profiles that track donations, communications and engagement history, with automated duplicate prevention, National Change of Address (NCOA) updates, donor segmentation, and AI-assisted email outreach. The fundraising component covers mobile-responsive donation forms, event ticketing, peer-to-peer campaigns, text-to-give, and auction tools, supporting payment methods including credit/debit cards, ACH, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Venmo. The volunteer component handles recruitment, AI-assisted shift scheduling, background-check screening, mobile check-in, and hour tracking, with data that feeds back into the donor CRM to help identify volunteers who are also prospective donors.
