Overview
SAP Integration Suite is SAP's enterprise iPaaS, delivered as part of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). It unifies several capabilities -- Cloud Integration (the former SAP Cloud Platform Integration / CPI), API Management, Open Connectors, Integration Advisor, Trading Partner Management/B2B, and event-driven messaging -- into a single suite for connecting SAP and non-SAP systems across cloud and on-premises landscapes. The platform is a natural fit for organizations standardizing on S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, Ariba, and other SAP cloud applications.
A distinguishing element is the large catalog of prepackaged integration content: SAP and partners publish ready-to-use integration flows (iFlows), value mappings, and APIs in the Integration Content Catalog, so teams can deploy best-practice integrations between SAP applications with minimal build effort. Cloud Integration provides a graphical iFlow designer with content-based routing, message transformation, and a broad set of adapters for protocols such as REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, SFTP, and JMS, plus adapters for third-party systems.
SAP Integration Suite runs on SAP BTP across multiple hyperscaler regions, and SAP provides the Integration Advisor and machine-learning-assisted mapping to speed B2B and A2A integration. It is generally adopted by mid-size to large enterprises already invested in the SAP ecosystem.
