Overview
Visier is a workforce intelligence platform that unifies HR, talent, and business data into a single analytics layer, positioned to help HR and business leaders "see the workforce you have" and "build the one you need." Its flagship product, Visier People, ships with a library of pre-built metrics and analyses covering the employee lifecycle -- headcount, turnover, compensation, diversity, internal mobility, and skills -- so customers get working dashboards without building a data warehouse or BI layer from scratch.
The platform pulls data from HRIS, ATS, performance, engagement, and collaboration systems through pre-built connectors (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle Fusion, UKG, Dayforce, BambooHR, Greenhouse, iCIMS and others), plus generic API, JDBC, SFTP and manual-upload paths for anything not natively supported. On top of the data layer, Visier runs Vee, a generative-AI agent trained on a large base of anonymized employee records and benchmark data, which answers natural-language people questions inside the Visier platform, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Copilot (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and via a Visier MCP server that exposes governed people data to third-party AI agents such as ChatGPT and Claude.
Visier also sells Workforce Planning (scenario modeling for headcount, skills and org design, tied to financial planning) and Visier Embedded, an OEM offering that lets other software vendors and internal platforms embed Visier's semantic layer and workforce analytics into their own products. The company is privately held, based in Vancouver, Canada, and reports its analytics are used by more than 160 Fortune 500 companies.

- Embedding workforce analytics inside an HR-tech vendor's own product via Visier Embedded
- Scheduling recurring people-analytics reports (e.g. monthly retention-risk summaries) to line managers
Strengths & considerations
Strengths
- Ships with thousands of pre-built workforce metrics and analyses rather than requiring customers to model their own semantic layer
- Vee is trained specifically on people-analytics data and is delivered inside existing workflow tools (Slack, Teams, Microsoft Copilot) rather than as a standalone chatbot
- Visier MCP Server gives governed, permissioned access to people data for third-party AI agents (ChatGPT, Claude), an unusual move for an HR analytics vendor
- Embedded Analytics lets other software vendors OEM Visier's data layer and AI instead of building workforce analytics in-house
- Over 160 Fortune 500 companies are customers, per Visier's own customer stories page
