Overview
Quaderno is tax compliance software that automates sales tax, VAT and GST for SaaS, e-commerce and digital businesses, applying the correct local tax rate to every sale at checkout across 100+ countries and a database of more than 12,000 tax jurisdictions. It tracks economic nexus and VAT/GST registration thresholds in real time and alerts sellers before they cross them.
Beyond calculation, Quaderno generates tax-compliant invoices localized to the customer's language and currency, produces filing-ready reports, and can file returns on the seller's behalf using data already in the app. It syncs sales data across payment platforms such as Stripe, PayPal and GoCardless and accounting tools like Xero, making it a fit for cross-border digital sellers rather than ERP-centric enterprises.
Launched in 2014 by founder Carlos and bootstrapped for roughly a decade, Quaderno joined the Visma group in 2023. Its team works remotely across Spain, Italy, the UK and the US.
