Overview

Kintsugi is an AI-native sales tax automation platform that monitors nexus, calculates tax in real time, and files and remits automatically for high-growth B2B, SaaS and e-commerce businesses. It tracks sales across all 50 US states and 50+ countries, alerting users when they trigger tax obligations, and supports EU VAT, GST/HST/QST and multi-currency reporting.

The platform uses AI to automatically classify products and apply the correct tax treatment, and to automate exemption certificate collection, storage and validation for B2B transactions. It connects to 40+ platforms via no-code integrations, including billing tools such as Stripe, Chargebee, Maxio, Orb and Ordway, as well as accounting/ERP systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks and Xero.

Founded by Pujun Bhatnagar (a former ML engineer) and launched in 2023, Kintsugi grew to over a thousand customers within roughly a year and in October 2025 announced a partnership with Vertex to bring enterprise-grade tax engine accuracy to the SMB market.
