Overview
Elavon is a global merchant payment processor and a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States. The business traces to Nova Corporation, acquired by U.S. Bancorp in 2001 and rebranded as Elavon in 2008. Elavon reports serving more than two million customers across 36+ countries, processing over nine billion transactions worth more than $600 billion annually, and is commonly cited among the top five global payment processors.
Rather than a single unified platform, Elavon sells payment acceptance through several branded gateway products aimed at different verticals: Converge for general in-person, online and mail-order/telephone-order (MO/TO) card acceptance, with developer tools for integrating into a merchant's own website, accounting system or CRM; Fusebox, used by hotel, restaurant, property-management and travel/entertainment brands for real-time connectivity to POS and PMS software; and CenPOS, aimed at automotive dealers, distribution, heavy-equipment and manufacturing businesses, which Elavon markets as integrating with "industry leading DMS and ERP systems." Elavon does not publish the names of specific certified ERP or DMS integration partners on its public site.
Beyond acceptance, Elavon provides reporting and reconciliation tools (Payments Insider, Payments Core 365), a chargeback-management portal, PCI DSS compliance support, and tokenization/encryption branded as "Safe-T." Its ISV/Integrated Partners program supports fully-integrated, semi-integrated, hosted and gateway-based integration paths, and Elavon reports more than 1,000 integrated software partners, discoverable through its WorksWith Elavon marketplace.

Pricing
Full Elavon pricing breakdown — cost at 25/100/500 seats, competitor rates & FAQs
Elavon quotes individually on interchange-plus, the same shape as Worldpay where small businesses typically see interchange plus 0.30% to 0.50% and $0.10 to $0.20 per transaction. As with any interchange-plus processor the headline markup is only part of the picture — monthly fees, contract length, early-termination charges and PCI fees decide the real cost. Elavon's bank ownership under U.S. Bank is the usual differentiator for merchants wanting processing and banking in one relationship. Get an independent shortlist with pricing guidance below.
