Overview
Payoneer is a publicly traded (Nasdaq: PAYO) cross-border payments company, founded in 2005, that lets businesses and freelancers receive, hold and send money internationally. Its core mass payouts platform is aimed at marketplaces, digital platforms and businesses that need to pay large numbers of sellers, freelancers, contractors or suppliers around the world without opening local banking relationships in every country.
Businesses can hold balances in multiple currencies, request or receive payments through local receiving accounts in major currencies, and pay out via Payoneer balance, local bank transfer or eWallet. A Mass Payout API and CSV-based bulk upload let platforms initiate high volumes of payments programmatically, with Payoneer handling currency conversion, payee onboarding, and KYC, AML and fraud screening as a regulated payments provider. A commercial Mastercard and a working-capital advance product round out the offering for businesses that also want to spend or borrow against their Payoneer balance.
For accounting, Payoneer connects directly to QuickBooks Online and Xero, creating a bank feed for each connected Payoneer balance so transactions sync automatically for reconciliation. Deeper ERP connectivity such as NetSuite is available only through third-party integration providers rather than a native Payoneer integration.

Pricing
Full Payoneer pricing breakdown — cost at 25/100/500 seats, competitor rates & FAQs
Payoneer earns from transaction and currency-conversion fees rather than subscription: about 3.99% on card receipts, 1% on ACH, $1.50 per bank withdrawal, $3.15 at ATMs, and up to 3.5% on conversion, with a $29.95 annual fee waived above $2,000 of activity. The spread that matters is FX — a direct-to-consumer seller moving $120,000 a year can pay anywhere between $18 and $4,800 depending entirely on how funds arrive and in which currencies.
