Overview

Onspring is a no-code governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platform built by Onspring Technologies, a privately held company founded in 2010 and headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. Rather than shipping a single fixed audit application, Onspring gives customers a configurable platform of forms, workflows, dashboards and reports that they (or Onspring's team) assemble into prebuilt applications, including one for internal audit and assurance, alongside risk management, compliance management, third-party risk, policy management and incident and problem management.

The internal audit application supports risk-based audit planning, automated risk assessments feeding live dashboards, and multi-level workpaper workflows that carry engagements through project milestones to final report issuance. Findings can be automatically routed for remediation based on severity, tasks are tracked by owner, due date, budget and priority, and role-based dashboards give board-level visibility without manual report assembly. Because the underlying platform is no-code, audit workflows can be reconfigured by administrators without vendor development work.

Onspring documents over 20 third-party integrations, including Jira, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, DocuSign, Slack, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP Concur, Oracle, ADP and ProcessUnity-adjacent risk-intelligence feeds such as BitSight and SecurityScorecard. The platform holds SOC 2 Type II attestation, and a separate Onspring GovCloud offering is FedRAMP Class C (formerly Moderate) authorized for government customers. Named customers publicly cited for audit and GRC use include the University System of Georgia and Pembina Pipeline Corporation.
