Overview

AuditBoard rebranded as Optro on March 9, 2026, extending its original internal-audit and SOX-compliance roots into a broader connected-risk platform. The company is the same: founded in 2014 in Cerritos, California (originally as SOXHUB), acquired by private equity firm Hg in 2024 in a deal reported at roughly $3 billion, and still built by the founding team of former internal auditors. AuditBoard.com now redirects to optro.ai, but existing customers and integrations carry over unchanged.

The platform covers internal audit management (OpsAudit), SOX and controls management, enterprise risk management, IT/cyber risk, third-party risk management, business continuity management, regulatory compliance management, and an AI governance module, all on one connected data model so audit findings, controls and risk registers reference the same underlying records.

Optro documents data integrations with SAP, Oracle NetSuite and Workday. A Deloitte-built integration connects the SAP GRC Process Control module with the platform Internal Audit and SOX solutions so control and audit data flow between systems without manual re-entry. The company reports that more than half of the Fortune 500, including 7 of the Fortune 10, use the platform.
