SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) is a cloud-hosted payroll engine that is natively integrated with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP's core HR system. ECP is essentially the proven SAP ERP HCM payroll engine, hosted and managed in the cloud and connected to SuccessFactors, giving organizations a mature, battle-tested calculation engine for complex payrolls within a modern HR suite.
The engine handles complex scenarios including retroactive calculations, off-cycle and supplemental runs, and intricate statutory requirements, with SAP delivering country-specific localizations that are kept current through regular updates. SAP provides more than 50 country versions covering local legal and tax requirements. Newer capabilities include continuous/real-time payroll processing, anomaly detection with guided resolution, and AI-assisted features such as Explain Pay for employees.
