Overview
Semarchy is a data management platform vendor, founded in 2011 in Lyon, France by former Sunopsis colleagues, now headquartered in Phoenix with offices in London, Paris, Lyon and New Delhi. Its flagship product, xDM, is an intelligent data hub that unifies Master Data Management (MDM), Reference Data Management (RDM), data governance, data quality and data integration in a single platform, aimed at giving enterprises a governed single source of truth across domains such as customer, product, supplier, location, vendor and financial data.
The platform combines MDM data modeling and golden-record creation (matching, merging, survivorship) with self-serve data governance (business glossaries, stewardship workflows) and built-in data quality controls. Data integration is handled through Semarchy's xDI component (formerly Stambia, acquired by Semarchy in 2021), which builds custom data flows between xDM and source/target systems using a component-based designer.
For ERP connectivity, Semarchy does not publish certified, prebuilt ERP connectors in the way some point-to-point iPaaS tools do. Instead, it exposes a REST API and a SQL interface for integration, and xDI includes an installable SAP Component that lets integrators build custom data flows against SAP systems. Semarchy also partners with system integrators (including a named partner, Apgar, which offers an "SAP accelerator") to deliver SAP-to-Semarchy migrations and ongoing synchronization; xDM is also available as a Snowflake Native App for in-warehouse deployment. Deployment options include SaaS, on-premises, cloud, or embedded directly in Snowflake.

Common use cases
- Building a single source of truth for customer, product, or supplier master data across multiple ERPs and applications
- Governing and cleansing master data before it flows into or out of SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Migrating master data governance off SAP MDG onto a more flexible, non-SAP-native MDM platform
- Running match/merge and survivorship rules to eliminate duplicate vendor or customer records across systems
- Exposing governed golden records as reusable data products via API to downstream analytics and applications
- Deploying MDM natively inside Snowflake to unify data without moving it out of the warehouse
- Establishing federated data governance and stewardship workflows across business and IT teams
Strengths & considerations

Pricing
Full Semarchy pricing breakdown — cost at 25/100/500 seats, competitor rates & FAQs
Semarchy prices flexibly by implementation size and user count, and is generally more affordable for mid-market buyers than the premium MDM platforms where deals reach $200,000 to $2 million. Its unified data-platform approach — MDM, data integration and data quality in one product — is what shortens implementation against best-of-breed stacks, and that speed is usually the argument that justifies the spend rather than the licence rate itself.
