Overview
Certent Disclosure Management (CDM) is a Microsoft Office-based disclosure management platform, sold by insightsoftware, for producing external regulatory filings and internal narrative reports. It combines live financial data with narrative text inside Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and manages the version control, workflow and audit trail needed to control high-frequency, multi-author reports such as 10-Ks, 10-Qs, annual reports and board packs.
The platform pulls live data from more than 140 documented ERP and EPM systems, including SAP ECC and S/4HANA, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite and Sage, so figures update across linked documents rather than being re-keyed. Its regulatory layer includes built-in XBRL and iXBRL tagging with real-time validation, a roll-forward workflow for repeat filings, and support for US GAAP, IFRS and ESEF/local taxonomies, alongside an SEC Filing Wizard for complex submissions.
Certent was acquired by insightsoftware and is now marketed as part of its broader Office of the CFO reporting portfolio alongside Certent Equity Management and Certent DisclosureNet. insightsoftware markets CDM primarily to public companies, financial institutions and enterprises with recurring statutory and regulatory reporting obligations, citing customer references including WD-40, Vodafone, BHP, Blackstone and Air France-KLM.
